Gyoza Bar opens for brunch service starting this weekend!

Inspired by the city’s quintessential ritual of weekend brunch, our Head Chef Woo Jin Kim wanted to create a unique brunch offering that incorporated both Japanese and international influences.

“In Japan, a traditional breakfast is nourishing, warm, and feels like home,” Woo Jin explained. “Our team aimed to create a brunch menu with this in mind, along with our signature Aburi twist: combining traditional dishes with local ingredients and flavours. Most of our dishes will feature both new and familiar flavours and textures. We’re so excited to open our doors on Sundays starting in March and can’t wait for guests to check out our brunch during the weekends.”

Pulled Pork Bao Benny

The Aburi take on the traditional Eggs Benedict: juicy pulled pork, poached organic eggs, pickled jalapeño, and creamy maple miso hollandaise sandwiched between our crispy golden bao buns, served with a side of togarashi spiced kimchi corn hash and house pickled tsukemono.

Okonomiyaki + Chicken Karaage

Our unique spin on the popular chicken and waffles! Sweet and sour soy glazed chicken is stacked on top of our savoury Japanese pancake and paired with a refreshing asian slaw, sunny side up egg, sriracha aioli, house made tartar sauce, and finished with Japanese barbecue sauce.

Teppan Keema Curry Brunch Set

Our rich, meaty curry is braised for 48 hours with ground pork simmered in with the sauce, topped with a sous-vide egg and freshly chopped green onions. This set is served with miso tofu salad, steamed rice, and wakame dashi soup.

Gyoza Bar Brunch Teishoku

A kaisen lover’s brunch set. Our rice bowl topped with albacore tuna lightly seared at the edges, green onion, and a delicate onsen tamago, this teishoku is served with our seiro mushi steamed shrimp and vegetables, creamy sesame dipping sauce, and wakame dashi soup.

Beef Bulgogi Rice Set

This hearty brunch set features our tender beef bulgogi and asian slaw bed topped with a sous-vide egg, green onion, side of gochujang, and served with our spicy crispy pork gyoza, kimchi, and wakame dashi soup.

Bacon ’n Egg Ramen

Finally, our brunch-exclusive ramen! Featuring our new smoked soy chicken broth, topped with chopped natural smoked bacon, corn, green onion, pea shoots, crisp bacon, and finished with a sunny side up egg.
